St Helen’s Church of England Primary School is a single‑form entry, voluntary controlled school nestled in the heart of the village of Cliffe on the Hoo Peninsula. Our peaceful village setting, one‑storey building and extensive grounds create a calm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported and ready to thrive. With the M2 just minutes away, our school is both accessible and beautifully rooted in its local community.
At St Helen’s, we want every child to be curious, passionate and excited about learning. We believe that when children truly love to learn, they develop a spark that inspires lifelong growth. Our vision, “Love to learn, learning to love, all different, all equal,” reflects the Christian values that guide our school and shape the way we care for one another.

Thank you for the warm welcome to your beautiful school during our open day visit today (8th January). It was a real pleasure to meet you and the rest of the teaching staff. The most remarkable of all our experiences at your school were the young (Y6) pupils who were responsible for showing us around and answering all our questions. Their professionalism and sense of maturity that they displayed was amazing to see. They are so passionate about their school and that can only be credited to you and your team.
We keep our fingers crossed that our son will be able to join you in September and hopefully, his sister down the line too.
I just wanted to say a huge thanks to all the staff at St Helen's. The change in my child has been what I've wanted for so long, she just seems so happy. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
Can you just thank all of the teaching staff from last night at Young Voices, they are truly amazing and always go above and beyond
Just a message to say thank you to all who helped and went on the trip to France, it must have been exhausting for all and a lot of effort and time to arrange but my child had a great time and had nothing but good things to say about her day in France. I really appreciate all involved in making it a great trip for our children to remember.
I just wanted to send an email to say a huge thank you. My child has never really come home and spoken about what he has done at school and previous to starting at St Helen's it would be like trying to get blood from a stone! These past two terms, he has come home so excited about his learning and the topics you have been covering. He loved learning about the Titanic and has been equally interested in learning about space. So much so that he has been making space posters and models in his own time. You have both really invited an interest in learning for him, so thank you very much!
Thank you Miss Scanlon and if you could pass on my thanks to Mrs Scanlon, for a wonderful choir service on Monday evening. It was really well performed and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
